Kode Garment Inc.
Ordering & payments
Last updated
These terms cover how Kode Garment Inc. (“Kode”, “we”) takes and confirms your order and how it is paid. Please also read our shipping policy and our return and refund policy.
Ordering
- Kode accepts orders electronically, through the checkout on kodegarment.com.
- Kode does not accept purchase orders (P.O.s) as payment, and does not accept personal cheques.
- Once an order is placed on our website, you have 10 minutes to contact customer service to change or cancel it. Once the order is confirmed by customer service and released to the warehouse or to production, it cannot be cancelled and the items will be shipped to you.
- Orders cannot be picked up at our shared warehouse locations.
- Our shipping policy covers in-stock items only. Kode does not backorder items.
- Our normal business days are Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, except holidays.
We cannot control daily spikes in online orders or pre-holiday shopping (for example Christmas, when order volume builds from October 15 to December 23). Please call customer service at 905‑235‑9444 to discuss rush orders.
Confirmed means the order has been verified by the card processor, received by our order system, checked for fraud, and reviewed by a customer service representative, who releases it to the warehouse to pick and ship, or to production for a decorated order. This can take anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes, sometimes longer: an order placed late at night is reviewed the next business day, so it does not leave until after it has been confirmed.
Custom and decorated orders
Decorated orders (DTF, screen-printed and UV transfers, embroidery, appliqué, patches and garments decorated by Kode) are made to order from your artwork. Production starts once the order is paid and confirmed, and turnaround is counted from then. The turnaround for each service is shown on its order page. Because they are made for you, decorated and custom orders cannot be cancelled once production has started.
If you send us your own garments to decorate, please ship them to the address below with your order number on the box.
Delivery terms
Kode delivers goods free on board (F.O.B.). Please see our shipping policy for more information.
Risk of loss for the goods passes to you once your order is loaded onto our freight partner’s truck at the warehouse it ships from. Kode’s shipping guarantee extends up to the moment the order is loaded onto that truck.
You understand and agree that shipment of goods is subject to availability, and Kode expressly disclaims liability for any failure to meet delivery dates.
Kode may deliver your order at one time or in portions (see split shipments in our shipping policy), and invoice for the portions delivered.
Payment is not considered final until all freight charges and taxes billed to you have been paid.
Paiement
- All orders are paid in full, in advance, by credit card at checkout.
- You purchase goods at the prices shown live on our website at the time of your order.
- Prices are exclusive of all sales or use taxes, tariffs, customs (except fees associated with the original U.S. importation, which Kode pays), duties and other governmental charges. You shall pay or reimburse Kode for any such charges. Sales tax is added at checkout according to the province you ship to.
- Late payment of any amount is grounds for Kode to stop work under these terms and conditions of sale.
- For credit card verification, please use the same address your credit card company sends your statements to.
- We do not guarantee that international credit cards will be accepted by our payment processor. If your card is declined, please use a Canadian credit card or contact customer service at info@kodegarment.com.
Visa, MasterCard and American Express
You can place your order with confidence. Card payments are processed by Stripe: your card details go straight to Stripe’s secure, encrypted payment form, and Kode never sees or stores them.
You must use the same address that is shown on your credit card statement. Orders with missing or incorrect information will be declined or held until the correct information is confirmed.
Please contact your card provider with any questions about your card.
CVV numbers and card security
When paying by credit card you will be asked for the CVV security code printed on the card. On Visa and MasterCard it is the three-digit number on the back of the card, beside the signature strip. On American Express it is the four-digit number on the front of the card.
Giving your CVV to an online merchant proves that you have the physical card, which helps keep you safe and reduces fraud.
Your CVV is not your card’s secret PIN (Personal Identification Number). Never enter your PIN when asked for your CVV: your PIN is only for ATMs and in-person purchases.
CVV numbers are also known as CSC (Card Security Code) or CVV2 numbers.
Refusal of service (abuse, misconduct and malicious intent)
As a Canadian e-commerce company, we reserve the right to refuse service or cancel transactions at our sole discretion where a client’s behaviour is abusive, manipulative or dishonest. This includes, but is not limited to: verbal or written abuse (including harassment by email), knowingly false claims or accusations, untrue or defamatory reviews or social media content, emotional blackmail or coercive threats, and attempts to exploit our order or shipping terms in bad faith to obtain free products. We are committed to protecting our team and business from harmful conduct, and such actions may result in permanent account suspension and, where appropriate, legal action.
