Placement questions

Sizes, answered.

01

Where should a logo go on a t-shirt?

The classic spots are the left chest, up to 5" × 5", and the full front, up to 12.75" × 15" on adult sizes. Centre chest, across the chest, the sleeves, a vertical strip, the nape of the neck, across the bottom of the back and the full back can all be printed too, and one garment can carry more than one position.

02

What size is a left chest logo?

A left or right chest logo can be up to 5" × 5". Centre chest artwork is also 5" × 5" as a standard size.

03

What is the maximum print size for a full front or full back?

Up to 12.75" × 15" on adult t-shirts and sweatshirts. On youth garments the full front and full back go up to 8" × 8".

04

How big can a sleeve print be?

A short-sleeve print can be up to 3.5" × 3.5". On a long sleeve, a print running down the arm can be up to 3.5" × 14".

05

What size should a nape of neck print be?

We suggest 4" × 4" for a print on the back, just below the collar.

06

What sizes are across-chest, vertical and bottom-back prints?

Across the chest is 12.75" × 4" as a standard size. A vertical strip down the front can be up to 4" × 15", and a print across the bottom of the back can be up to 12.75" × 4".

07

Are imprint sizes the same on t-shirts and sweatshirts?

Yes. The maximum imprint areas are the same on both, measured on adult garments unless noted. Use the T-Shirts and Sweatshirts buttons at the top of the guide to see every position on each garment.

08

Will my logo look right on every size in the order?

The sizes in this guide are maximums, and your artwork can be smaller. On request we scale the artwork across the size run, so a youth small and an adult 4XL both come back looking right.
