Privacy policy

This policy explains what Kode Garment Inc. (“Kode”, “we”) collects through kodegarment.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the contact and quote form:

• your name, email address, and if you add them, your phone number and website
• your message and the details of your quote: garments, quantities and sizes, logo placement, decoration method and the date you need the order
• any artwork files you attach
• a voice message, if you record one. The microphone is used only while you press record, and the recording stays in your browser until you send the form.

The site has no advertising or analytics tracking, and we do not build visitor profiles.

How we use it

We use your details to answer your question, prepare your quote, and handle any order that follows, including contacting you about it. We do not sell or rent your information, and we will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

How the form is handled

When you press send, your message and attachments are emailed to our inbox at info@kodegarment.com. The website itself does not keep a copy: uploaded files are attached to that email and discarded as soon as it is sent.

Cookies and security checks

To keep spam and automated abuse out of the form, the “I’m not a robot” check uses:

• one essential cookie (kg_sid) that remembers that you passed the check. It is set only when you use the check and ends when you close your browser.
• short-lived records of recent attempts, keyed to a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address, used only to limit repeated tries. They are not linked to your name.

We do not use cookies for anything else.

Other services the site relies on

• Web fonts. Pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your internet address to Google when a page loads. Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Hosting. Our website and email are run on servers operated by a hosting provider. Like any web server, they keep standard logs of requests (internet address, page, browser and time) for security and troubleshooting. These servers may be located outside Canada, so your information may be stored and processed under the laws of another country.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry, quote and order emails for as long as we need them to respond to you, supply and support your order, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that we delete them.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection, the form only accepts submissions sent from this website, and access to our inbox is limited to the people who handle quotes and orders.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also withdraw your consent to further contact at any time. Email or call us and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
